Final Blog Assignment

This school year was not that bad.  Now considering the fact that the subject is school that is great.  As  i am sure you have gathere I do not enjoy school nearly as much as I enjoy sleeping in and being care free.  But I do not want you thinking that I am one of those lame kids that just posts statuses on Facebook saying "I haaaaaaattteee SCHOOL!!!!1."  Pleases do not picture me as one of those pretend "angst teens." Anyways as I was saying, there were a few really fun moments about this year!  I remember a few weeks into the school year our science teacher decided to have us speak in front of the class about earth worms.  We were allowed to chooses partners, so Bethany and I paired up.  Of course we did not know much about earth worms, or any type of insect for that matter, so we decided to make up most of our facts.  We thought that is would be fun to say that their mouths were could stretch to at least 1 foot in diameter, and that they were predators to the tiger!  We were laughing nearly the entire time we were practising to present.  Thankfully our teacher didnt make us present.  We were in a way relieved, but in another way dissapointed that we could not share our new found knowledge of the earth worm.

But like I said before, this year was definitely not the greatest.  There were a lot of tough times,  my friends and I fought/fight quiute often. And during those times I was so thankful to have my good friends Gerard Way, Jack Johnson, Lynyrd Skynyrd and M. Shadows (I know, odd music mixture).  It would act as a type of sheild for me. It would help  me to get my mind off of the situation I was in and not allow me to over think the situation (which i almost always do.) Now I am not saying that people should just sit in a corner and listen to music.  But it is definitely good to just go and listen to some calming music.

I am really happy to have had such awesome teachers this year.  I have learnt more in science and S.S. this year than i have in my entire school career.  I have been able to understand things more clearly thanks to all of my great teachers and I am really looking forward to next year.  I will be able to get a few new teachers, but I will also be able to keep some of the same ones

Bad Joke Wrench!

"I don't really like pudding," complained the Glue to the Wrench.
"would you say that you find it," the Wrench trailed off, "off-puddin'?"
"I have an ear infection," the Glue whined.
"Oh, I'm sorry to," the Wrench hesitated, "hear that!"
The little ruler walked in, "I bought a pair of tights today."
"I guess your... expanding your wardrobe," the Glue replied.
Both the Glue and the Ruler awkwardly stand there in silence.

Top 10 Movie Quotes

Alright so I am going to be making a top ten list of  me favorite movie quotes. So here goes. ;)

#10)Dirty Harry

Harry Callahan: I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

This is an amazing quote, because it is such a classic.   Even is you were to go up to someone who hasn't seen the movie and said "Do ya feel lucky punk?" They would have at least heard of it

#9)Crazy, Stupid Love

Jacob: Cal, be better than the Gap. Be better than the Gap. Say it.
Cal: I'm better than the Gap.

I love it when Jacob(Ryan Gosling)grabs Cal's (Steve Carrel's) face, then slaps him.

#8)Batman: The Dark Night

The Joker: If we don't deal with this now, soon little, uh, Gambol here won't be able to get a nickel for his grandma.
Gambol: [explodes] Enough from the clown!
[He rises to his feet; Joker does too, opening his coat to reveal a cluster of grenades, attached to a string around his thumb
The Joker: Ah-ta-ta-ta! Let's not *blow* this out of proportion.

Skip to 2:05 if you want to see the quote.
The Joker goes to the mob and proposes that they kill Batman.  I love how he talks extremely fast at some parts then unusually slow.
R.I.P.  Heath Ledger,  you were an amazing actor.

#7)Star Wars

I have a bad feeling about this.

Hahaha Every Star Wars Movie has at least once the line: "I have a (very) bad feeling about this". Here are all together. Video footage taken from Star Wars I to VI.

#6)The Other Guys

Terry Hoitz: I'm like a peacock, you gotta let me fly!
This is amazing!! I love how he chose peacock...not only feminine but also flightless!  Love you Marky Mark

#5)Easy A

Marianne: There's a higher power that will judge you for your indecency.
Olive Penderghast: Tom Cruise?

This is really funny.  I haven't watched this since it came out last summer.  Awesome movie still.

#4) Burlesque

Nikki: [annoyed] Didn't your mama ever tell you it's not polite to stare?
Ali Rose: You-You're just so damn beautiful, I...
Nikki: Well in that case, screw your mama and stare away.
Ali Rose: No one would *ever* know.
Nikki: Know what?
Ali Rose: That you're a dude.

Awesome quote....too bad I couldn't find a video for it.

#3)Rocky I

Paulie: [talking about Adrian] You like her?
Rocky: Sure, I like her.
Paulie: What's the attraction?
Rocky: I dunno... she fills gaps.
Paulie: What's 'gaps'?
Rocky: I dunno, she's got gaps, I got gaps, together we fill gaps.

Amazing attempt at Stallone trying to be sensitive.  These are really good movies.  Definitely suggest you watch them.

#2)Batman & Robin
Robin: I hate to disappoint you but my rubber lips are immune to your charms.

Yes. I know, this is horribly cheesy. But it is so funny.  I love it when he tears them off, so pathetically cheap.

#1) Toy Story

The one that absolutely tops my list!

Buzz:  To infinity and beyond!
I love this.  It is full of so much nostalgia!  These movies are an awesome childhood memory.

Spring Break with Alicia

It had taken no more than two days for alicia and i to go through all of the fun things at my house.  So we decided to take an adventure into the city.
The first thing we noticed were the clouds overhead, seemed to lay a somewhat cozy blanket over the afternoon sky.  Since the bus stop was jest less than one block away, we decided that a thin sweater would keep us warm until we got to the bus.

"Ding," the bus bell had rang.  We had reached our destination.  Alcicia and I had decided to go the nearest starbucks.

Thirty minutes passed and we had finished our drinks.  Just as we were getting up to leave, a bus lazily drove by.  It was our bus.  Since we were already walking towards the exit, we dacided it would be to awkward to return to our previous table.  So we kept on chugging along.   We walked around taylor plaza we looked for some  place to give us refuge.  It was then when we saw it, one tooth active wear, with big yellow letters 'SALE'.

"Hello, how are you you today," It was the receptionist said with an artificial smile.

"Uh, we're good," I said with a glance at my shoes.

We started looking at clothes, hoping that they would be cute cheap.  That was not the case!  Almost everything was over 50$, except for the occasional headband. I glanced at my phone.  It was 3:20pm.  We didnt have to be at the bus till 3:40, but i would have done almost anything to leave that awful place.  Ten steps out and we began to feel small rain drops falling from the clouds to the ground.

"Oh no, its raining," Alicia said with a frown spread accross her face.

We decided to stick it out.  After all it wasnt raining that badly... yet.  Once we had made it to the streetlights the storm really began to come down.  we sprinted across the street.  In a desperate attempt to find a haven, from the sudden down poor, we found a small tree.

"OK, i think its mostly done." The storm had died down a little so we decided to make another run for the bus stop.  As we ran, we saw other people bikinig and jogging.  They seemed unsurprised by the storms bipolar mood swing.  Once we had begun to near the bus stop we immediately sat on the side faceing south.  It was the closest thing we had to shelter and it worked fairly well.

Five minutes later and the bus finally had arrived at our stop.  We jumped on and rode it home.

Fast Ran the Athlete
 By: Niki Isaac
Inspired by Fast rode the knight by :Stephen Crane

ran the athlete
With sneakers hot and sweaty
Ever flashing his winning smile
“To save my title”
Fast ran the athlete
And leaped from the ground to hurtle
Men of sweat gleamed and shone
Like a race between life or death
And the dream of a new gold medal
Still bounced on the walls of their head

……

A medal,
Golden, aspirational, grand thing,
Forgotten underneath the bench.
A medal,
Chipped underneath the bench
